Senior Women's
Together for over 15 years and still love every season
About
Our Women's Team
Our Women’s team, fondly known as “the Chickets” don’t just call themselves a cricket team, they’re friends for life. For the Senior Women’s Team, that has been together for over 15 years, playing Sundays isn’t just about cricket, it is about playing with your best mates week in, week out.
They play competitive and hard, but with respect for the game and opposition, whilst trying to have a laugh no matter the situation.
The Sharks women’s team are one of the most successful teams both at Bayswater Park and within their competition. The team plays each Sunday and train alongside senior men on a Tuesday and Thursday. The team enjoys being social and the annual end of season trip is always a highlight.
We welcome every new player with open arms, with the club treating its women’s team as equals to the men. If you’d like to join, we would love to have you no matter your age or skill level. If other life commitments are a barrier for you, there is great flexibility allowing you to play just a few games, every second week or whatever works for you!

We’re Led by a Club Legend
She hates the limelight, but it’s well deserved. A team player through and through, women’s captain, Sarah Smith, is both an outstanding player and leader of the women’s XI team. In addition to team captain, Sarah is also the clubs current Vice President, who is loved and respected by not only her teammates, but the broader Shark Park family.
Sarah Smith is our first player (Male or Female) to make 7000 runs in the same team for our great club at an average of 52.57 and is a handy little bowler.
Sarah may clean up at presentation night most seasons, gives some terrible motivational speeches, has her unique pre-game routines, and won’t give up first slip, but we wouldn’t have her any other way.
