Sarah Smith – RDCA Hall of Fame Inductee
When you join Bayswater Park, you’re joining the club that produced the first female player inducted into the RDCA Hall of Fame.
A foundation player of our women’s team, Sarah has spent 18 seasons with the Sharks, scoring 9,000+ runs, taking 187 wickets, winning 7 premierships and becoming the first player in club history to reach 9,000 runs.
She’s still pulling on the pink every week, leading by example on so whether you’re chasing success or simply looking for a great group of women to play with, you’ll find your place at Shark Park.
First season is free for all new female players.
Senior Coach - Shane Lamour
Meet Our Coach
Entering his third season at Bayswater Park, Shane Lamour has quickly become a key part of our women’s program.
After guiding our Women’s A Grade team to a premiership last season, Shane returns with a his premier grade coaching experience, passion for developing players, creating a positive team culture, and helping every player enjoy their cricket.
Whether you’re an experienced cricketer or picking up a bat for the first time, you’ll be supported by a coach who genuinely loves helping women and girls grow in the game.
General questions
Not at all. Our womens team welcome all ages and skill level, with two teams now (one in A grade and the second in more of a beginner league C grade, it doesnt matter your skill level)
First year players are FREE (just have to pay for the uniform).

Pre-season to be advised but generally starts in August – October with 1 hour indoor sessions.
Tuesday and Thursday’s 6-7.30pm – Plus selection dinner after training Thurs nights.
Game days are Sunday’s starting at 1pm (ground by 12pm) – Guy Turner Reserve
*If you cant make training sessions, don’t let that stop you from joining our club – we can make it work.
- We compete in the RDCA.
- Depending on which grade formats played are T20s and One Day games – with a series of finals played at the end of the season.
- Matches are played on Sundays.
- All players must wear Bayswater Park Cricket Club’s uniform.
- The cricket season generally runs from October through until March – you will receive a fixture with a break over the Christmas period.
